Aquamarine
Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March and the zodiac sign of Pisces (February 19 - March 20) as well as the 19th wedding anniversary gemstone.
The name is derived from the Roman word "Aqua," meaning water, and "mare," meaning sea, this pale blue gem does indeed resemble the color of seawater.Aquamarine belongs to the beryl family of gemstones and has a good hardness and wonderful shine.
The ancient Romans believed that the Aquamarine was sacred to Neptune, the god of the sea, having fallen from the jewel boxes of sirens and washed onto shore and has been regarded as the sailor's lucky stone. Most aquamarines come from Colombia and Brazil.
Aquamarine is associated with tranquility, serenity, clarity, and harmony. It is a good gemstone for meditating as its calming energies reduce stress and quiet the mind.
